82nd Airborne Division Association Award

The purpose of the award is to connect the Chapter of the Association with our community.  We  execute this this by presenting a medal and a certificate to deserving Army ROTC/JROTC cadets in the Tampa Bay Region.  Specifically Hillsborough,  Pinellas, and South Pasco Counties.  

Some requirements for the 2025 academic year:  

We will no longer mail certificates and awards, we feel that in order to meet our purpose we will only support if a member of the chapter is available to present the award. 

Cadet must be in an ROTC/JROTC program

Chain of command must contact us at least 2 weeks prior to event using contact form below. 

Award is not recognized for official wear on the Army Active or Reserve Force and is a recognition of excellence at the Cadet Command level and is worn according to appropriate Cadet Command guidelines.  

Criteria for the award:

• The Cadet must be academically in the top 20% of their ROTC/JROTC class
• The Cadet must have demonstrated an example of initiative  (must be cited for consideration)
• The Cadet has previously demonstrated effective leadership skills (sports, academic, or ROTC/JROTC)
• Cadet must be physically fit, must score in the top 20% of their ROTC/JROTC class.
• The Cadet has not previously received the award.
• Cannot be on any type probation or disciplinary action for the current academic year for consideration
